Course Description

The International Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a qualification that is recognized globally and universally accepted as a badge of professionalism and commitment to health and safety.

The syllabus covers the elements required to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace and provides employers with qualified personnel meet their obligations, reduce accidents and downtime, and increase productivity and staff morale.

It is accredited by IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician level of the institution (Tech IOSH) and may also apply for associate membership of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM).

The qualification is highly encouraged for occupational safety and health professionals and aspiring ones. The course improves professional confidence and competence and helps delegates develop and apply their knowledge of occupational safety and health in an international context.

Course Assessment

Candidates undertake a programme of study, normally over a period of 60 hours, depending on the mode of study.
Candidates book their examination for free.
Candidates sit two 90-minute examinations comprising of a selection of short-answer questions.
Examinations can be undertaken all year round at selected British Safety Council offices nationwide.
Candidates’ scripts are marked by external examiners appointed by the British Safety Council. Results and certificates are issued within six weeks.

Exam Fee:       10, 500 PHP per unit
